Aloe Vera

Indoors, especially in a kitchen or on a sunny windowsill where you can quickly grab a piece for a burn. They need space for their leaves to spread out.

Cactus or Succulent Mix. Aloe is a succulent, so it needs very fast-draining soil. Do not use heavy potting soil, as this will trap water and cause the roots to rot.

Easy (Low). As long as you give it lots of sun and don't overwater, it is a very simple plant to keep happy.

Warm Room Temperature (18°C to 27°C / 65°F to 80°F). Like most succulents, it hates the cold. Keep it away from cold air below 13∘C (55∘F).

Water deeply, but only when the soil is completely dry. Wait until the soil is totally dry, all the way to the bottom. Overwatering is the biggest danger for Aloe Vera. When you water, let the excess drain out fully.
