Philodendron Plant

Indoors! Since many types are vines, they look great on a high shelf where their leaves can trail down, or on a pole if you want them to climb up.

Rich, Well-Draining Mix. They like a soil that has lots of organic material (like peat moss or coco coir) mixed with perlite or orchid bark to help it drain well. They need air around their roots.

Easy (Low). They are very forgiving plants and one of the best for beginners. They tell you what they need (drooping leaves means water; yellowing leaves means too much water).

Warm Room Temperature (18°C to 26°C / 65°F to 80°F). They are tropical, so they must be kept away from cold air below 13∘C (55∘F).

Water when the top 50% of the soil is dry. This is key! Stick your finger in, and if the soil is dry down to your knuckle, it's time to water thoroughly.
